Cervicogenic Headache

 

 

Cervicogenic headache is referred pain perceived in the head from a source in the neck. It can also be secondary which means it can come from another unlying condition.

Symptoms are usually pains referred from a source in the neck and perceived in one or more regions of the head and/or face.

​

Cause can be tension coming from the shoulder or neck which travels up to the suboccipital region. This may end up pinging a nerve in the closed space.
