Speech Therapy
Speech Therapist work to prevent, assess, diagnose, and treat speech, language, social communication, cognitive-communication, and swallowing disorders in children and adults.

Speech therapy can help with:

Delays and speech disorders, including articulation, phonology and speech disorders;

Delays and language disorders, including expression and comprehension in oral and non-verbal contexts;

Disorders of fluidity, including stuttering;

Disturbances of voice and resonance;

Swallowing and eating disorders in adults, children and infants;

Cognitive-communicative disorders, including social communication skills, reasoning, problem solving and executive functions;

Pre-literacy and literacy skills, including phonological awareness, decoding, reading comprehension and writing;

Disorders of communication and swallowing related to other problems. For example, hearing impairment, traumatic brain injury, dementia, developmental disorders, intellectual or genetic disorders and neurological impairments.

Eliane Verbeeck
Eliane is a French speaking speech and language practitioner who graduated from ULB (Universite Libre de Bruxelles) in 2001 in Speech and Language Therapy.
Besides this diploma she has a bachelor degree as a Primary School Educator.

She has many years of experience evaluating and re-educating written and oral language delays and disorders such as dyslexia, dysorthographia, learning disorder, dysphasia, articulation disorders, fluency, voice disorders etc...
​
As she has spent the last 10 years outside Belgium, she is also very well experienced with the language problems occurring in an expat environment with bilingual issues.
Eliane has 3 children and has traveled and has practiced in several countries. She is fluent in French, English and Dutch.
